The New Moon jewelry set was released to coincide with the release of the New Moon movie. It seems like an odd fit as the movie deals with Jacob Black and this jewelry set is more like a box of Cullen family heirlooms. Well, on reflection, you do get to know a lot more about the Cullen family, and Alice Cullen in particular, in New Moon so maybe it is justified.
In New moon, we discover a few secrets. The biggest being that Jacob Black is not quite what he seems but we also learn more about Alice Cullen. We begin to like her more as she develops into a loyal friend for Bella. We also learn about her special powers and her past life as a human. This explains her style of jewelry as it tells us where she comes from both in time and place.
The set includes 6 items of jewelry. The centerpiece is the choker worn by Alice in the movie. The items are designated as replicas of the original items worn in the movies. To this extent they are identical in look to the real items.
Along with Alice’s choker, you get the wrist cuff worn by Edward, the crest rings worn by Carlisle and given to Bella, Esme’s bracelet and Rosalie’s necklace. All these items can be worn but essentially this set is created as a collectible. The unique aspect of the set is a hand signed autograph picture by the actor who plays Alice Cullen, Ashley Greene.
Apparently there are only 3000 sets being sold which ensures that it will be a collectible that goes up in value. A previous limited release Twilight jewelry set has gone up significantly since the release was sold out.
